FLAG-MS deals with the definition and development of the powertrain architecture in accordance with the customer’s requirements, as well as its integration with the vehicle’s electrical/electronic system and vehicle installation.

Proprietary solutions

FLAG-MS has developed proprietary solutions for the main components of the electric powertrain:
- Inverter
- BMS (Battery Management System)
- Battery pack
- PDU (Power Distribution Unit)
- VMU (Vehicle Management Unit)

Compatibility and flexibility

It is possible to realize an electric powertrain entirely characterized by the presence of the key components branded FLAG-MS. It is guaranteed the compatibility of each individual FLAG-MS component with other components on the market. Integration between FLAG-MS components and third-party components is therefore easily achievable

System testing

The definition of the test plan and the performance of the bench tests are activities that FLAG-MS performs both on all the components that are part of the powertrain (Battery Pack, Inverter, Electric Motor, HV DC/DC, On Board Charger), and on the complete powertrain. Only after the end of the test phase, the powertrain is installed on the car, where further validation tests will follow

Test benches are a key tool in propulsion engineering, including those for BEV and PHEV vehicles.
Their use, as a rule, precedes the road test activities of a new vehicle for all its engines and is a fundamental step during the development phases of entire powertrains and/or their key components.
To achieve this, it is crucial that certain specific characteristics can be tested in a reproducible and targeted manner, with predefined boundary conditions.
The collection of the results related to the execution of bench tests and their post-processing are necessary activities to characterize the behavior of the system and validate the project.
After the validation of the powertrain on the bench, follows the real integration on the vehicle and the on-track and on-road testing phase.
