BMS Hardware & Software

Battery Management System (BMS) entirely in house developed  and customizable according to the needs of the application and of the customer.

Electrical, mechanical and thermal engineering.

Through a multiphysics approach, based on the specifications imposed by the customer (energy and power, encumbrances on board vehicle, operating temperatures), the electrical, mechanical and thermal design of the entire battery pack is developed.  Starting from the selection of the cells most suitable for the application (type: energy or power, chemistry: NMC, lifepo, LTO), the arrangement and choice of the below - components is aimed at maximizing the energy and power specific to the package. The optimization of performance is also guaranteed by the choice of the appropriate architectural package approach (Cell2module/module2pack - cell2pack). Each phase of the design is also supported by specific simulation software.

BMS: battery monitoring and management system

Thanks to the proprietary BMS developed by FLAG - MS, the characteristic parameters of the battery pack are properly controlled during its operation, while the algorithms of soc and soh allow an optimized use and aimed at increasing the useful life. 

Support to the industrialization of the product

In order to validate experimentally the respect of every project requirement, the assembly and the tests are carried out in specialized laboratories.  FLAG - MS supports the customer at all stages of product development, from prototyping to industrialization, directing design to aspects of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) with the aim of creating battery packs suitable for any type of application.
